In places where abortion access is ending, contraception is more important than ever. Expanding contraception access reduces unwanted pregnancies, which in turn reduces the need for abortion services.
Birth control is used as an effective means of preventing unwanted pregnancy. However, it is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and one needs to be mindful of the side effects specific to each individual. Both patients and doctors alike need to consider these side effects and risks before deciding about their consistent usage.
